RICS Route Finder

Which RICS route can you take?

Answer two quick questions and we'll show you the most suitable route to RICS membership — and exactly what to do next.

1 Your highest relevant qualification

2 Years of relevant surveying experience

3 Anything else? optional

Three ways to qualify

RICS membership isn’t one-size-fits-all. The right grade depends on your qualifications and experience — the finder above maps yours in seconds.

AssocRICS

Associate member

The entry-level qualification, open to those with vocational qualifications or work-based experience. A recognised professional credential in its own right, and a stepping stone toward chartership.

MRICS

Chartered member

The gold standard, achieved through the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). Recognised worldwide and the benchmark for quantity surveyors and the wider profession.

FRICS

Fellow

The senior grade, recognising significant career achievement and contribution to the profession. Held by fewer than one in five RICS professionals, and earned after chartership.
